This is what Mrs. A had to say about her experience from both of her sessions!
"The first time I did a boudoir session with Candace was very spur of the moment. She had a contest, I won a spot within 24 hours, and 48 hours after entering the contest I had the photo shoot! My husband's birthday was the next month and I thought this would be a perfect present. Once it was set to do the session, though, I started to panic. I had no lingerie to my name - not even anything I would consider sexy. I messaged Candace and told her I had nothing lacy, nothing scandalous, and no high heels. She told me to not worry about that, because shoes and lace don't make you sexy.
I didn't tell anyone. I lied to my husband and told him I was going to work. The whole way there I kept thinking of different excuses to get out of it. I could say my kid wasn't feeling good or that I really did have to go to work. My anxiety spiked and I just dwelled on how awful these pictures would turn out. I kept picking apart my insecurities. The biggest one was my weight. I had lost 80 pounds at that point, but I was still almost 200 pounds. What if my husband saw the pictures of his 200 pound wife in lingerie, and he hated them?
Despite all the fears I had, I still went. Candace told me I was welcome to wear the oversized sweater I had on or I could go through her lingerie closet. I decided that if I was going to do it - I was going to go all out. I wore a few different pieces of lingerie that she had, and felt so sexy in every single one. I guess now is a good time to admit that I had never owned or worn lingerie until that day! The only thing I brought with me was my husband's favorite hat. I felt silly asking her to incorporate a flat billed hat into boudoir photos, but she was up for it!
The second I laid on the bed for the first picture I felt so at ease. I laughed the entire time! Candace was so patient and made sure that I was comfortable the entire time. She warned me that I would be sore the next day from all the bending and stretching, and she wasn't kidding. Who knew being sexy could be so painful the next day?
The entire experience was really life changing. I got there that morning feeling like the number on my scale was going to determine how my pictures turned out. I left there an hour later and felt like a goddess. I felt free. That session made me realize that I was more than just a mom, or a wife, or my weight. I realized that I'm still sexy. I've still got a fierce lioness living inside me. It ended up being more of a gift for my wellbeing my self worth than it was a gift for my husband.
I couldn't even wait to give my husband the pictures for his birthday. As soon as Candace emailed them to me, I forwarded them to him while he was in bed next to me. I videoed his reaction, and it was priceless! He loved them. I loved them. It was just such an awesome feeling to see myself like that!
I even convinced my husband to do a couple's boudoir session with Candace a few months later! I don't know how she managed to make us look as good as she did, but the pictures of us together are so precious to me. He is much more conservative than I am, and Candace made sure he was comfortable the entire time. As soon as we left the session my husband asked could we book more pictures with her!
If you've been on the fence, I say go for it. Just be aware that once you see how sexy you are, you'll want to have boudoir sessions done all the time. There's nothing wrong with that, though! I can't wait to book another session with Candace!" -Mrs. A
