Kendall's Senior Experience Session | OCEAN SPRINGS, MS
Kendall is a 2018 senior at Ocean Springs High School. She is also a 3-year member of Ocean Springs Cotillion Organization, where they devote endless hours to community service and donations to local causes. She loves her job at Zeal Boutique in downtown Ocean Springs. In her free time, she enjoys working out, eating Mexican food, playing with her dog, practicing her calligraphy, painting, and spending time with her family, boyfriend, and friends!
Here are a few of her favorites, mixed with a few of mine!

Here are few tips from Kendall:
How would you advise someone else to prepare for a senior portrait session? "When you're deciding on outfits, try to choose something without too many patterns. The chances are, you will probably get sick of looking at the pictures if you wear something too "busy", rather than keeping (at least one) outfit classy and stylish (i.e. a black or white dress)."
Tips on hair or makeup? "I did my own hair & makeup. When doing your makeup, I would suggest using a matte foundation/powder, so you don't look oily or shiny on camera! I would also suggest using matte eyeshadow colors for the same reason. As far as hair goes, make sure you do something that makes you feel beautiful, but also a style you're comfortable in. You don't want to be too adventurous on the day of the shoot, because you might end up hating the way it looks in pictures! If you do your pictures during summer months or any other time when it's humid, add some styling gel at the ends of your hair to keep the ends from getting too frizzy!"
I asked her a few questions about how she prepared and designed her shoot, and this is what she had to say!
What kind of look were you going for in the shoot? "I was going for a bright, fun, yet sophisticated look! I wanted to use something artsy (Fish Bone Alley), but also wanted something classic & coastal (sailboats at Jones Park and the beach). Candace did an awesome job of helping me tie it all together."
How many outfits did you bring and was it enough? Was it too much? Anything you'd change? "I brought 2 outfits: a white dress with flowers & jeans with a peach off-the-shoulder top. If I were to change anything, I might have brought one extra outfit, just to have few more options to choose from when purchasing my pictures! I would say 2-4 outfits is safe."
What was your biggest fear or worry about the photo shoot? What was the outcome? "I was afraid I would overthink the "poses" and facial expressions that I made. I'm sure that I did overthink some of them, but Candace's bubbly personality makes it easy to feel comfortable and laugh at yourself when you're too tense."
What was your favorite part of the complete experience? "My favorite part was the viewing with my family. I loved getting to go through the pictures and choose my favorite ones (even though it was super hard to pick because we loved them all)."
