Skylar's Senior Portrait Experience | Ocean Springs High School
Today I want you to meet Skylar! I absolutely loved working with Skylar she has an amazing personality and she is beautiful! Great combination!
Skylar is a senior at Ocean Springs High School. She is also involved in the Mayor's Youth Council, the National Honor Society, the Ocean Springs Cotillion Organization, and she also maintains a job as an intern for a Law Firm in downtown OS.
I asked her a few questions about how she prepared and designed her shoot, and this is what she had to say!
What kind of look were you going for in the shoot? “I wanted to look like a senior; I didn't want to look like a model, just wanted to be myself.”
If you chose our session location, tell me why you chose that place. Did you like the location? “I chose the beach because it's my happy place, downtown Ocean Springs, because I love the atmosphere and the murals, and I went to Gulf Islands Natural Seashore to get in touch with nature.”
What was your favorite part of the complete experience? “My favorite part was getting dressed up and having Ms. Candace take the pictures! She's such a sweet person and complimented me on almost every frame she took!”
How was your overall senior portrait session experience? “On a scale from 1-10, it was a solid 11!”
(Lol can’t argue with that rating!!)
I asked Skylar whether she had any advice to offer others who were getting ready to take senior portraits. This is what she had to share: “Pick out comfortable outfits that you love yourself in, think of good places to take pictures that represent you, and have fun!”
Any tips on hair or makeup? Please list any vendors/salons you went to here, as well. - "BLOWN IS THE BEST PLACE TO GO!!! (For hair and makeup) They also provided a discount for me since I was taking Senior portraits."
Cannot wait for Skylar’s spring session in March! We are going to have so much fun!
