“As a mother I feel we are so hard on ourselves about the way we look, and we are so concerned with taking care of our families that we forget the beauty that is contained within. A woman has the power to light up a room, she can turn heads from any angle with the grace of her smile. Our love is so strong for our relationships, careers, and whatever we set our minds to that sometimes we forget to love the woman inside of us. I chose to do a session with Candace not just for her beautiful pictures, but to recapture the raw energy of my womanhood again. Being a mother is exhausting, getting divorced drained me, moving and starting my career over nearly took away my drive. I wanted to feel empowered again, so I did this merely for myself, to find that confidence that was lost. When I met Candace at wine down Wednesday I saw the talent in her pictures but I also saw how she could bring the light of a woman out in her photographs. I knew then that I wanted to do a shoot with her. I had considered boudoir before but I knew that I didn’t want it to only be “sexy”. There is something more powerful to the experience than just looking pretty in lingerie. There is an essence of raw womanhood and the beauty that accompanies it. I was very nervous coming in to the shoot, I was worried about posing and my smile and all the little details but Candace made me more than comfortable and she knows all her stuff. It was so much fun! We laughed, joked and had a great time! It was definitely the most empowering experience I have had. Not to mention the pictures are gorgeous! I am so grateful to be able to capture this moment in my life as the woman that I want to be. I would recommend anyone to do this, maybe for your significant other, but definitely for yourself.”

“Someone added me to your group and at first I was completely appalled! My first thought was, “WHAT IN THE WORLD!!?” I didn’t remove myself from the group, though because, well… my interest was piqued. I read the posts, the blogs, watched pictures, body language in the images. Each woman is different and each one is stunning! Following the posts, it occurred to me that I wanted to do a session for myself to help ME feel special again. You may be asking yourself, did she really say special again? Yes… Yes, I did. No matter how someone appears at “face value,” we all have our insecurities and mine are here just like yours. Let me get real personal for a minute, many of us have gone through horrible experiences and I’m no exception. An ex used to call me banana tits, ski slopes, too skinny, bony, ugly… you get the point, right? So, as I’ve gotten older I’ve taken care of those problems by adding weight, filling out the ski slopes, taking care of myself, looking nice. But those doubts still creep in at times - I’m human, too. I wanted to feel special and beautiful in my own skin, with all my flaws and foibles. My mind was set, it was time to take the next step! By the end of this session I could have conquered the world, in the nude! Heck yes! I said it… let’s go ladies, let’s take over the world by starting with ourselves first! Stop worrying what others think about you and see yourself as the truly stunning and beautiful woman you are. This is not disreputable photography, this is ART and Candace is a wonderful ARTIST! She will show you exactly how beautiful you are! I could hug her every day for the rest of my life and still want to hug her twice later.”
